Initial Meeting
The process begins with a phone call to answer some questions and discuss general requirements. After that, an appointment will be scheduled for an on-site meeting to go over the details and take necessary photos. This visit costs $200 for 1 to 2 hours. Payment can be made when scheduling the appointment or during the meeting using check or Zelle Transfer.
Once payment for the initial visit is received, an estimate will be provided. This estimate will exclude my fee and will give you an idea of the project cost based on the discussed requirements.
Service Fees
Once the estimate is sent, it can serve as a reference to adjust the specifics and finalize the requirements. After determining the scope of the decor services, I will provide my consulting fee. I charge a flat fee for the project based on the agreed-upon requirements.
Q and A
Q: Are the purchases of furniture or Designer items made by you and monitored/tracked until installation?
A: Unless the furniture or products are purchased from NAMAHA DESIGNS, the customer will be fully responsible until delivery. As a decor designer, I will provide options based on the design and requirements. The customer and designer will meet at shops to discuss and finalize furniture or decor items. Customers will receive designer discounts directly from the seller. In case of damages requiring returns, the designer will not be involved. For items purchased from NAMAHA DESIGNS, which are special catalog items, the designer will ensure there are no damages before delivery. Once delivered, accepted, and paid for, neither the designer nor NAMAHA DESIGNS will be responsible for returns or damages.
Q: For any handyman services, does the customer have a choice of preferences?
A: For any handyman services needed on the project, the designer will suggest a contractor to visit the site and provide a quote. Customers can also get quotes from their preferred contractors. The customer makes the final decision based on cost or prior experience. Since payment transactions are directly between the customer and the contractor, the designer is not responsible for any damages or unsatisfactory service from the contractor.
Q: Is Renovation also a service offered?
A: Yes, this includes recommending a contractor, selecting materials, and sharing ideas. For example, if a bathtub needs to be renovated into a standing shower, the designer will suggest tiles, glass, backsplash, and other elements that match the theme and coordinate with the contractor. The designer and customer will shop for all the necessary materials based on the design. The customer will pay the contractor directly for labor upon satisfactory completion. This approach also applies to renovating cabinets, kitchen islands, gazebos, and similar projects.
